I have just bought No1 of 10 of the B/W version of this photograph from Lammas in Tripoli. I am very interested in the model. Is she a local Libyan or just a model you brought along for the photoshoot? Although I normally prefer colour photographs I think the B/W version is the better image and most stunning B/W portrait I've ever seen. The detail of the site is clearly visible in the eyes and the reflections on the metal jewellery she is wearing. I have never bought a photographic work of art before (as opposed to massed produced ones) but this just struck me as a must have and especially as I've got No1. I'd be interested in knowing a little about your visit to Tripoli and Sabbratha as I've lived here with work for nearly a year.

Congratulations on your fine photographs of Libya. Some non-photographic business will take me there in December. Can you tell me about specific permissions or requirements I might need to do B&W photography using a large Fuji 6x9 film camera. Any insight you have would be immensly appreciated. Thank you.

My English students have just completed in their Face to Face English book a unit which talks about you and your life. I therefore was fascinated to read that there will be an exhibition of your photographs of Libya at the Lamma cafe. In order to stimulate my students I want to take them to the show but on going to Lamma cafe there are no details of its location. Also are you going to be there it would be such a thrill for them to see you if not just say a few words to you in English.

Dear Mr McGregor

I have been given your website address by Nieves Artaza. We really do like your photos of Libya and would like to know whether we could use one of them for our Wall Planner 2010. However, we were wondering if you have any further photos of the Libyan Desert that have a lot of sky or sand in the picture. The thing is that we need quite an even/ empty background to put our addresses. We would put your name on the calendar as source of the photo.

Furthermore, I was wondering if you are familiar with our newsletter. (if not, please reply to this message and i can send you a few issues as PDF). On page 4 we often report about our employees? or consultant?s hobbies or trips and would be happy if you would like to contribute something about photography (how you got into it, why it interests you?experience?etc.) I see that you are actually selling the photos online so maybe this would also be an opportunity for you to promote your business?
